So why did I call this place Area 45? It's called Area 45 because its a bit weird, but not quite as bad as Area 51. There are no alien spacecraft here... There may be a few deranged squirrels and there is a dirty pair of muskrats hiding in a corner somewhere probably doing naughty stuff, but definitely no aliens. Your probably thinking "why doesn't he just get rid of the dirty muskrats or deranged squirrels". Well the squirrels make a super job of doing the vacuuming and the muskrats can cook a really nice roast dinner. There was a suggestion that one of the muskrats was related to Dave from 'The Hairy Bikers' (TV cooks), so maybe that's where they get their cooking skills from? -Who Knows, but their Chicken dinners are lovely.

This picture is me, Norm also known as Warf on many electronic and radio forums and some games. I was born in Cornwall in 1972 and have lived here all of my life. I love Cornwall, we have some fantastic history as well as some great views and landscapes. Also the coast, the Sea roaring against the Cliffs - Fantastic, Why would anyone leave here?
I repair things as a job and a hobby. Electronics is one of my natural talents and I love it too. My other hobbies include radio communications, computers and running my website. I can also do geeky stuff like transferring ancient reel to reel tapes onto CD, but I'm not a full time geek honest!!!
Problem solving is another of my skills, and finding easy ways to do hard things... Oh yea, and I can do the Rubik's Cube in under 3 mins. -that's not all I do but I don't wanna bore you!

This is my cat, Scorch, who is the best cat in the world... Even people that don't like cats love Scorch as she is very loving and has a great attitude. She is about 14 years old (human years) in this pic which no one can believe, but its true.
Scorch still runs round like a kitten chasing stuff now and again, but also sleeps a lot these days too. She loves cardboard boxes and carrier bags for some reason... I bought her a brand new scratch-post, but she doesn't scratch it preferring to inhabit an old cardboard box and scratch that instead, which is fine, but it doesn't half make a mess!
The only trouble with such an active cat is the mischief they get up to... My other cat, Scorch's kitten Panther unfortunately ate a poisoned mouse or something and had to be put down by the vet when she was 5 years old. Scorch herself has brought live birds, mice, voles and all sorts of things in.
I Started Normsweb.com in 2003. Before that I had a single webpage, about modifying and repairing
the Albrecht CB radio base station. My great friend Mark from PcCheaters.com hosted my page on his webspace. I wanted to expand my webpage, so Mark
suggested I get my own webspace. I tried for days to think of a
good name for my site, but couldn't settle on one I liked. Then one night
as I lay in bed it came to me! "Normsweb" Eureka! A
quick trip on the web revealed that normsweb.com was available! Great!
and with a little more of Marks help, and a few days later, normsweb.com
was born.
After I had my site
a while I decided to make a MIDI site too - I had a very large collection
of MIDI music files that I had collected over the years and thought I would share
them with the world. Well, soon my MIDI site
was taking over and the original idea of having a technical assistance
site (now known as my TekTips pages) had to take a back seat. My MIDI
site had become world renowned and had well over 500 MIDI files and was growing all the time, but unfortunately
I had to remove it in 2010, due to the fact that I didn't wanna get sued for "copyright infringement". MIDI files should not be copyrightable anyway, but that's a whole different story and I won't go into it here... I also had a polyphonic ringtone page with some of the best quality polyphonic ringtones in the world. I removed the polytones page as now most phones use MP3 format which is soooooo much better.
Before you leave here be sure to check out my music, poetry and photo's from the links above... Enjoy!
